Steps Foward
I’ve decided to learn basic electronics. I’m going to learn to solder, too. I’ve gotten great advice, but this summer is the time to do things.
There are plenty of interest-based projects that I can do. For instance, I recently saw someone post an open source HOTAS/sim racing button box project to Reddit.

Eventually, I’d like to purchase a quality supergun, either from RGB Labs or AxunWorks, a RetroTINK-4K upscaler, and broken arcade boards on eBay. My plan is to fix those boards.
Right now, I see several listings on US eBay for The Simpsons Arcade for between 300 and 400 USD. I don’t have to go with The Simpsons Arcade, but it’s my favorite arcade game.
Next year, I’ll attend the Pinball Expo in Schaumburg, Illinois for fun, learning, and networking. I’d go this year, but it’s more financially viable for me to go next year. After I go, I’ll post photographs from my time there on PixelFed!
